SUMMARY
Plants c. 5–8 cm tall, loosely caespitose, forming mats or extensive swards; rhizome creeping-ascending, branched, with sterile shoots sometimes ascending. Basal leaves (1–) 3–5 cm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide, with base ±dilated; cauline leaf usually single or absent, c. 1–2 cm long. Basal bract usually 1.0–1.5 cm long. Inflorescence a single head c. 0.6–1.0 cm long.
